Chinese Version of Retail-Man - Updated May 2014

Postby graham » Tue Dec 21, 2010 1:18 am

The Simplified Chinese (Mandarin) menus have been been reviewed and updated by professional translators, with new words being added. The menus can be converted into Chinese. The files can be downloaded using the links below. Full support for Chinese is required in Windows.

http://www.ezisolution.co.uk/Lang/Chinese.zip

The version of Windows in use must be have full support for Chinese

1) Download Chinese.zip file

2) Change the language settings in the Control Panel > Regional and Languages screen to be Chinese for the required country, e.g. Chinese (Mandarin)

3) Shut down Retail-Man

4) Extract the Chinese.lng, Chinese.CDX, Config.fpw and VFP9rcht.dll files from Chinese.zip, copy them into the folder for Retail-Man (e.g. C:\RMAN)

5) Install vfp9rcht.dll using the instruction in Install.txt. The details are also below.

If there are issues after the above, then you will have to copy and paste VFP9rcht.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:

C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7,8,10)

For users of 64-bit version of Windows copy and paste VFP9rcht.dll to the folder below.

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\

--> Make a safe copy of VFP9rcht.dll if this exists already before replacing the file.

Reboot your computer to make the changes active

If the problem still occurs, try the following:

1. Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
2. Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
3. Type regsvr32 VFP9rcht.dll and press Enter.

Change the locale for non-unicode to Chinese (see http://www.stevenblack.com/intlasia/)

This is under control panel> clock language, region > change location

Under the Administrative tab, change the language for non-unicode programs.

6) Click on Save (F2).

The menus should now be in Chinese. If not, exit from Retail-Man, then re-start the program.
