We have found some hardware deals with the ASCII table a little different than Windows, so we have created a different field for each.
The system now accepts either the currency symbol, or its ASCII value. In our test equipment, we found the POS printer prints the £ if we used the value 167 instead of the £ sign, while the Pole Display works OK if we used the value 156 in the currency field.
POS printer
-------------
Go to MAINTENANCE > SYSTEM SETUP > POS > Docket Printer Currency Symbol = 167
Pole Display
---------------
Go to MAINTENANCE > SYSTEM SETUP > HARDWARE > Currency Symbol = 156
If these do not work, you will need to check the ASCII value in the hardware user manual for the correct £ Ascii code.
