Is it Friday yet????

Hi,

Just working on setting up Retailman and my thermal docket printer has decided it no longer wishes to open the cash draw (service tech says new controller card needed). I have it working with MYOB Retailmanager at the moment using an older dot matrix docket printer on LPT1 just to open the draw. Using the thermal printer just to print dockets. (Told card may take a week or so to get) I hate the dockets being printed on the dot matrix and don't want to use A4.

I can't get this to work on Retailman though. Any ideas?

I think the problem is in setup with the open drawer codes. In MYOB the code is ctrl+g to open and this works..... Retail Man doesn't like this. Any idea on what code I should be using in Retail Man that is equivilent to ctrl+g ?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Why not try send an E-Mail rather than a PM, or maybe exchange real E-Mail addresses by PM?

Hi,

The control+g code translates to Chr ( 7 ) (remove the spaces between the chr, brackets and 7)

Thank you for all your help

code 7 did the trick!

(Mine does plug in to the thermal printer but it is not working for opening the draw at the moment... waiting on parts and thought it would be good to know how to in case it does it in the future!)

Thanks again for all your help guys. I am hoping to be ready to start using retailman from 1st July (new financial year) so I can sell MYOB!
