Suggestion If allowed

Hi there!

I think it would be better and easier if developers of Rman make some modification on the hardware section, like Adding some columns on the printer setup whereby one can choose:
- A default slept/docket printer
- A default office printer fort statement orders and other office related or to print on an A4 paper.
- A Barcode printer.
Is only a suggestion because me I have a normal Argos Barcode printer and do not know how to connect it.

Thanks for your message. Retail-Man uses Windows print devices for printing, so most of your requirements are met already.

- A default slept/docket printer
-> See Maintenance, System Setup, Hardware, POS Printer

- A default office printer fort statement orders and other office related or to print on an A4 paper.
-> Retail-Man uses the default Windows printer

- A Barcode printer.
-> Retail-Man uses the default Windows printer

Retailman V 1.80.73 BUGS

We have used Version 1.80.73 & find there are a lot of bugs,some are as
below, how to fix ? :


[b]---All report can't export in Excel Format( except several reports ).


---When doing "Purchasing"(not Purchase order),the amount input into the "Discount" Column will be doubled in the cost of the item, eg. if we purchase an item at $ 100 and input 35% discount, the last cost show in the system should be $ 65 but the system actually count as $ 32.50 .


---When doing "Purchasing" , if we input Zero in the "Qty" column or "Discount" columns, the system will show ******.*** symbol after the Purchasing was save.And unpredictable effect will be on item cost & qty.



---Cashier Drawer won't open automatically when POS done (it could in V.1.7 , all setting hasn't been changed).The drawer could only be opened on clicking the "drawer icon" on top.


---After restore the system from BackUp,Payroll data couldn't be restored.



---After upgrade to V.1.80.73 , if invoice number excess 10,000 ,we can't print Coupon.


---After upgrade to V.1.80.73 , if invoice number excess 10000 , whenever we restore the system from backup,the process stop at restore of "POINTSTR.DBF" , and the following error message come out "Numeric overflow.Data was lost".
What we can do is click the "Ignore" buttom but the more we excess number 10,000 , the more times we have to click.Now our invoice number excess 13,000 so we have to click more than 3000 times this "ignore" buttom in order to finish the whole restore process. [/b]

The bugs you mentioned have been fixed with the latest from www,ezisolution.com/rm_1_80.exe

The way to upgrade is as follows:

1 - Close all instances of the program
2 - Make a full folder backup (this is just in case something going wrong)
3 - download the setup program
4 - Run the setup program
5 - Once done, start one instance of the program and wait for it to update the files.
6 - DO NOT RESTORE the old data, the new setup will keep all the data in there
You may like to reindex the files and check if all is OK, you can now start using the new version.

Bugs

We have already been using the latest version V 1.80.73 for several
months ! I repeat the latest version ! But the bugs are there . In fact some bugs come with the latest version but not with the older v 1.7 version . I have check carefully your reply, the bugs of "PURCHASING"
has been fix ,but all other are still there :

(This was solved after Mr Lau of efusion send us a new POINTSTR.DBF file)

We are working on the rest of the reports, we have done the popular ones, the other do export but do not show in the right columns

A new feature was added to the new version to allow for more control over the user opening the drawer. Go to User Settings, choose the user in question, then click on the Settings button, choose the Sales tab and you will find an option in there to allow the user to open the cash drawer, You have to do that for each and every user.

Thank you very much for your reply.

On the bug of opening the cashier Drawer,we have already setted the setting in "Users Setting" to allow all user to open the drawer,indeed everyone can open the drawer by clicking "Alt+F12".But in V 1.7 the drawer open automatically when we finish a POS (after clicking F2 or F3),
now in V 1.80 , the drawer has to been open manualily by clicking
"Alt+F12" every time.

Could you fix it to let the drawer open automatically as in V 1.7 ?

Forgot to mention, you will need to also go to MAINTENANCE > SYSTEM SETUP > PAYMENTS and tick all the payments that will allow you to open the cash drawer, this is a new feature that allows the user to assign which payment types can open the drawer.
